Making mandalas is a form of visual journaling that is particularly healing and a powerful mindfulness meditation practice. Creating Mandalas Helps To : - Calm your mind - Quieten your emotions - Induce feelings of tranquillity and contentment - Promote greater awareness of self and life - Reduce stress - Ground and centre your consciousness - Integrate polarities within yourself (yin/ yang) - Increase concentration - Stimulate your creative thinking and problem solving abilities - Bring harmony to your body, mind and spirit - Assist you to reach your full potential *** How To Come Prepared: *** Please bring with you a compass, a ruler, a pencil and sharpener or fine line pen. ***Exchange is €20: Includes wine, refreshments and healthy nibbles.*** *** A Little About the Host: *** Steve Gooch originally trained as a sculptor at Britain’s prestigious Bath Academy of Art before going on to work professionally as a stone mason (on a commission for the British sculptor, Nick Pope) and then as an artist-print maker, with his work appearing in the Tate Gallery in London and in collections around the world. He has facilitated art workshops in the UK, Egypt, Sudan and Saudi Arabia and is currently working on a series of drawings for an exhibition in the UK. He also teaches Reiki, a tantric healing and meditation practice called ‘The Buddho System of Healing’ and is working on his second book, ‘The Benefits of Chanting Om’.
