Mandala workshop June 2nd, 2018 4-6pm Mimosa Hall Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning circle. It is a spiritual symbol representing the universe, perfection, unity. In many spiritual traditions, mandalas are used for focusing the attention and quietening the mind of the practitioner, in other words it is a tool for meditation. In today's society with it's constant demands and fast pace, it is a tool to make us relax and at the same time to help us express our creativity, which is very valuable. Drawing a mandala helps us get in touch with the wholeness of our personality, just as the psychologist Carl Jung pointed out from his own personal experience . THE AIM OF THE WORKSHOP IS... ... to attempt to unlock our creative capabilities ... to meet other people in a relaxed environment ... to spend quality time with ourselves relaxing the mind ... and above all having fun! A LITTLE ABOUT OUR HOST... Areti Paleocrassas, who will be teaching this workshop, is an artist and a yoga teacher too. She began drawing mandalas in the past three years, and has become a great enthusiast. She has taught mandala classes for children in the past which were a great success and now would like to share her knowledge with adults room. HOW TO COME PREPARED FOR THE WORKSHOP... ...
